Spirit Baptism: A Biblical Investigation
By Howard M. Ervin.
Description
"Howard Ervin's Spirit Baptism (a revision of his earlier, These Are Not Drunken, As Ye Suppose) is a fine, scholarly examination of biblical and theological foundations of the Pentecostal baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Ervin does an outstanding job of demonstrating that Spirit baptism in the New Testament relates not to conversion or sanctification but to charismatic empowerment. Spirit Baptism is a much needed contribution to Evangelical and Pentecostal understanding and a challenge to the church at large for a genuine spiritual renewal."Â...
